The  Nordborg group is seeking a full-time research technician, starting in summer 2009. Research in the group focuses on quantitative and population genetics of Arabidopsis, with emphasis on genomics and computational approaches. Requirements for the position include familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques, and the ability to manage large-scale quantitative and high-throughput experiments (e.g. phenotyping and genotyping of thousands of lines). The working language of the GMI is English. Experience working with plants is desirable but not essential. Familiarity with basic computational analysis tools (statistics, bioinformatics, databases) is also desirable but not essential.
