Ten »Youth Travel Fund awards can be applied for to attend the FEBS Workshop on Adaptation Potential in Plants and will be awarded on a competitive basis. The amount of the award shall be related to the distance from the applicant's place of work to Vienna. Before applying, please ensure that you meet the conditions for applying for a Youth Travel Fund award listed below. To apply, please send your completed registration and abstract forms as well as a CV to febs2009@gmi.oeaw.ac.at by 10 December 2008. Please give Youth Travel Fund as the subject of the email.


Conditions for applying for a Youth Travel Fund award:

• The applicant must be registered as a student at an institution of higher learning in a country where there is a FEBS Constitutent Society, or be within five years of having completed a PhD thesis
• The applicant must be a member of a FEBS Constitutent Society
• The applicant must not have received a grant from the Youth Travel Fund to attend an Advanced Course/Workshop in the current year (i.e. 2009)
• Awards will only be made to persons travelling from their current country of residence to another country
